What is Intercessory Prayer?
It is praying with the real hope and
real intent that God would step in and act for the good of some specific
person(s) or situation. It is trusting that God will act, even if it's
not in the manner or timing we seek. God wants us to ask, even urgently.
It is casting our weakness before God's strength, and (at its best)
having a bit of God's passion burn in us.
We believe that prayer is vital to our
personal as well as corporate growth and as such we exist to provide
opportunities to pray and to stir up prayer in our congregation.
Throughout history God has ordained prayer as the means through which He
does His work.
Prayer Requests for Our Intercessors;
We encourage you to post your prayer requests on our
prayer wall located at the back of the sanctuary at any time during the
service.
E-Mail Intercessors:
Many of our intercessors have e-mail. This allows us
to readily send out prayer requests.
This mode of communication allows us to reach our intercessory quickly
when the need arise.
Who Does Our Intercessors Pray For?
You and your needs
Leaders and Government
authorities.
The people of God.
Those in spiritual leadership.
That they may have boldness to
speak the truth.
For their divine protections,
spiritual strength, and victory over their enemies.
That they will have an open door
of ministry.
The community in which we live, or any
city or nation.
Characteristics of a Successful Intercessor:
Persistence and determination.
Patience.
Faith.
Self-discipline and
